Wonersh and District Garden Club

Wonersh & District Garden Club was established in 1960 as a friendly club for anyone who enjoys gardening, visiting gardens, finding out more about gardening topics or having a go at a garden-related quiz while enjoying a cup of tea or a glass of wine and a chat with fellow members. The Club meets in the evening on the first Wednesday of the month in the winter months at Wonersh Memorial Hall and at a garden in the summer months.  The modest annual membership  covers all the talks, shows and quizzes, a small additional charge is made for garden visits. A membership card gives all the details.

The Club runs two very successful shows each year – in April there is a Spring Flower and Pot plant Show and in September there is an Autumn Garden and Homecraft Show.  Each show has a number of classes so there is always at least one class that even those with the smallest gardens, or no garden at all, can enter. There is also a Snowdrop competition at the February meeting.

The Club also stocks and runs the plant stall at Wonersh Fair each year.  Members contribute any surplus plants from their gardens and grow on seedling bedding plants to help make it a popular stall at the Fair.

The Club committee welcomes any suggestions for talks and places to visit.

New members can join at any time in the year and will receive a warm welcome.  Please contact either:
